Ness Simons 

Ness is a Writer and Director with seven years of industry experience working on a range of projects in both corporate and creative screen production. Her projects include NZFC funded short ‘Actually Alex’ and two seasons of ‘Pot Luck Webseries’ funded by NZ On Air.  

Ness regularly attend meetings and events, maintaining strong relationships with guilds and organisations such as WIFT NZ, SPADA, NZ Film Commission and NZ On Air as well as screenings, Q&A’s, and constant connection with industry practitioners who employ our graduates.   

She is a regular point of contact for producers and productions looking to fill industry entrant positions, and connecting graduates to corporate and commercial work from enquiries.  

Ness is passionate about getting to work with emerging storytellers and guiding them through their journey of bringing their vision to life. Helping them understand more about themselves as well as the work they want to do, connecting them with industry and opportunities, and empowering them to tell their stories!
